Valeri Bojinov Signed with Manchester City. After Getting the UK Working Permit Valeri Will Be Officially Presented
3 August 2007 The Bulgarian national team player Valeri Bojinov signed at last the contract with the English Manchester City, reports the official cite of his ex-club Fiorentina. The striker and his manager Gerry Palomba have agreed upon all the clauses of the contract of the football player with the representatives of City. Bojinov is transferred to Manchester City for the sum of EUR 8.5 million with 4 year duration of the contract. This morning Bojinov will participate in the trainings with his new mates, among them the Bulgarian national Martin Petrov. Valeri coiuld not still be officially resented as a new team member as bureaucratic procedure for obtaining of working permit is still not over. It's expected this issue to be solved within the next hours of today. "I would like to thank Mr Eriksson for giving me the chance to come to Manchester City", the footballer said. Manchester City once again demonstrated its ambitions to build-up a strong team as yesterday Croat Vedran Corluka, Brazilian Elano Blumer and Spaniard Javier Garrido signed with the team of Sven Goran Eriksson. |

1 August 2007 Today the Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojinov left from Sofia Airport to Manchester with a flight via Munich to pass medical examinations and sign officially with his new team Manchester City. The football player was seen off by his charming wife the famous Bulgarian singer Alicia. Sven-Goran Eriksson’s cash-rich Manchester City have reportedly clinched the signing of striker Valeri Bojinov from Fiorentina. Reports are rife in Italy suggesting City have agreed a £ 5.7million deal for Bulgaria international Bojinov, 21, who was sent on loan to Juventus last season. “I hope I never have to come back to Fiorentina again. England would be a perfect solution,” Bojinov told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have talked several times with Martin Petrov. I am very glad that we will play together as we have already played in the national team of Bulgaria. It's natural to help each other when we are abroad. I am grateful to Eriksson for taking me in his team. This is a great oppotunity for me. I am grateful to everybody in Italy - the tifosi of Lecce, Fiorentina and Juventus, to the chiefs of those clubs for everything that they made for me during these 8 years.
